#ProjectPan June 2017

This month has been fairly tame with finishing things. I'm finding that I'm finally reaching the end of some of my powders and foundations. I'm also doing great with decluttering the lip collection. There's also a bit of face things in there, so hopefully a little something for everyone.
Products I've Used Up: Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse (30 mL): This is truly life changing. Well, not really, but it took off my makeup exceptionally well and I would happily repurchase this again.  Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream (1.5 mL): I liked how it made my skin feel, but if you over do it, it can still feel tacky in the morning, which wasn't fun. I'm gonna stick with my samples of serums and creams for now.  Maybelline Dream Pure BB: I'm not too fussed with foundations, so I got on with this fairly well. It's a light coverage, but with the right brush, it could be a medium coverage. It lasts a good while. My only complaint is that towards the end, it separated a bi…

#ProjectPan May 2017

Me oh my am I determined to get my lip products under control. It's basically me decluttering at this point rather than actually using, but these lip products I've had for a while, so I don't feel as bad. Also, to sum up the lip products, unless they stand out to me as not wearing well (fading unevenly, clumping oddly, etc), or the color doesn't suit me, I generally love/make the color work.
I've also used up quite a few skin care products that I wasn't expecting to finish.
Things I've Used Up:
Joico Color Infuse Red Shampoo: I bloody love this stuff. I claim this is the thing that makes my hair stay red as long as it does. Not only does it have color-lasting powers, but it cleans your hair and actually makes it feel clean. Huge plus in my book. I'm still undecided how long I want to keep my red hair, but if I ever decide to keep it, or go back to red, this is the first thing I'm gonna pick up.
Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream: This was a sample that I foun…

#ProjectPan April 2017

At this point I've nearly given up on predicting what I will end up finishing in a month, but I'll still try. As always, it's going to be filled with skin care and lip products, but they are the most important!
What I used up in March: L'Oreal Pure Clay Mask (The Red One): Amazing. Gentle enough to use after using an exfoliating cleanser. Makes my skin super soft. Only downside is that it's a bit messy.  Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow Primer (Sample): The sample definitely had more than one use it in, but very glowy. Looks like you highlighted your entire face. Better for the dry-skinned people.  Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in Beige (Sample): When you build it up enough, and with the right brush, this can be a pretty full coverage foundation. Also a very dewy look.  Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment: This stuff was my holy grail for the longest time. The medicated part actually helps heal your lips and is perfect after a long day of using matte lipsticks. Also perfe…

#ProjectPan March 2017

Wow, the month flew by and I started to get a good gage of how often a product takes to finish. I also learned that I just can't let some things go. I had hoped to finish more products, but my list isn't that shabby.
Neutrogena Deep Clean Long Last Shine Control Daily Scrub: As far as shine control is concerned, I always used this at night, so I don't know how well it actually controls shine. The scrubbing wasn't too harsh and it truly was gentle enough to use daily. It might have been a tad bit drying, but my moisturizer balanced things out so I didn't mind.
It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream: This moisturizer is amazing. I've heard customers and co-workers mention how amazing it is but I only just got the chance to try it. The packaging was in a pot, and as those products go, I tend to use it sparingly until I'm packing the product on until it's gone. I found it super hydrating and my skin felt super soft in the morning. I'd still have to put a li…

#ProjectPan February 2017

I think I found a new blogging inspiration, which is perfect for me. I love collecting makeup because "it's limited edition" or "it was on sale" or any other excuse in the book to try new makeup. But in all honesty, I just like to try things and keep note of the things I prefer. Since I work in a makeup store, the products are way too tempting not to get.
Besides my makeup addiction, I have a weird obsession to make sure everything I use (makeup, clothes, paper, you name it), it totally used up. I also have rotations of my makeup so besides everything being used up, it's also equally used. These are all little tiny details that actually are perfect for this different side of the beauty world that I've become obsessed with.
Decluttering videos, especially lipstick ones, fascinate me. They inspire me to use up my collection to get down to a reasonable amount. Some of these videos came with updates of this thing called #ProjectPan, which has nothing to do …

Update: 12/26/16

I don't know any other way to say this, but I'm going on another blogging hiatus. I'm trying (but failing) to stop collecting things and actually try and make an effort to use them. I also find that I say the same thing about every product I use again, and it's not making me want to write about products. If I have an epiphany about any particular product/type of products, I'll most likely be tweeting about it as 140 characters truly sum up my thoughts. (my twitter is @LexisGuide )
Until next time...

Today's post is about the crease color. This month I'm using the orangey brown color in the same Ulta palette that my base color is in.
The Bad: The fact that I don't know what the shade is called.
The Good: I actually love this color. It's a perfect warm for the crease and it blends nicely and it's buildable!
So, this is a great color, Ulta shadows are either awesome or suck, so this falls into the first category!
