Monthly Empties | April 2018

This month I'm trying hard to just let things go, especially if I've had it for a long time. I feel like I went through a lot of skin care, which is typical, but I also feel like I went through my fair share of makeup bits as well! I always feel like I don't use things up, until it's the last week of the month and suddenly I'm running out of everything. Here's the things I've used up over the past month...

Lush Lip Scrub: I am not really a lip scrub person, only because I feel that lip balm is just fine. Plus, I'm super lazy/forgetful with extra steps, so I definitely neglected trying to use this lip scrub. Technically a lot is still there, but it's expired and solid as a rock at this point. I've never used a lip scrub before, but this was nice! It exfoliated and tasted great and that's all I really care about. I probably won't repurchase this as I won't use it enough in time.
L'Oreal True Match Foundation: This was given to me as …

Monthly Empties | March 2018

Okay so it may be a little over a year later that I started this whole project pan thing, but it ended up being more of a monthly empties, so that's just what I'm going to call it from now on. I'm also trying to let go of powder products that need to go whether it's empty or not (aka once I hit pan). This month I feel like I used up/got rid of a lot so that makes me happy.
Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel (1 oz): I felt like this smelt identical to Purity from Philosophy. It performed nearly identically too. The only difference is that with it being a gel, a little went a long way but it did the trick. For reference of how long this took to use up, it was about 3 weeks.
La Roche-Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser (0.5 oz): I didn't hate this per say, but i wasn't a big fan. I prefer cleansers of any kind to show some kind of suds so I know it's doing its job. This had zero suds and felt like my skin just gobbled it up. It didn't make my skin dry or tight af…

#ProjectPan February 2018

Surprise, surprise, this month is chuck full of skin care empties with a few randoms thrown in.
Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser (creamy formula): This cleanser did the trick. I'm not ever in love with cleansers, but this was amazing at taking off any extra makeup that still clung to my skin. Careful when using around your eyes, it would cloud up my eyes a bit if it got too close.
Urban Decay Quick Fix Priming Spray (1 oz): I've used this before, it's a nice spray. It has coconut water, but it's not an overwhelming scent. The mist is a great one. Give this a go!
Pureology Clean Volume Conditioner (1.7 oz): I get along with most conditioners, and this is no exception. This truly made my hair feel soft and not greasy. As for the volume, My hair has a natural volume so I don't see much of a difference there, but it's worth a try!
It's a 10 Miracle Moisture Shampoo (2 oz): I may not be fussy with conditioners, but I know straight away when a shampoo is no…

#ProjectPan January 2018

Wowie has this year flown by. I can't wait to see what the new year brings! Here's the list of all the things I've finished up over the past month.
Tigi Rockaholic Dry Shampoo (Travel size): This wasn't my favorite dry shampoo. I'm probably one of the few who like seeing the white powder because I know how much I'm using. With this, it was clear so I never knew if I was using enough. Most people will love that though.
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer (Sample size): I've heard tons about this and it's one of Smashbox's best sellers. It was time for me to try it and it wasn't bad. It felt super silicone-y and my face was a teensy bit oilier by the end of the day. Of course I have to comment on packaging as I hate packet packaging. I would prefer a mini mini version of a trial size, or at least put one application in the packet.
Shampyou Mimosa and Jasmine Shampoo: For a shampoo that I basically create, this was really nice! My hair was soft and shiny. I …

#ProjectPan December 2017

Wow, December already? This year has flown by. If I've learned anything, it's that skin care definitely gets used up the fastest, which is good, because I've finally gotten a handle of my serums and scrubs. Cleansers, on the other hand, seem to just pile up. Anyway, here's the (pretty pitiful) list of things I've used up over the past month!
Urban Decay Quick Fix Prep Spray: I was a huge fan of B6, so when this new spray came out, I wanted to try this asap! One little issue I thought I was going to have was the smell, as I'm not a huge fan of coconut, and coconut water is part of the ingredients. Thankfully, the smell wasn't an issue. It was actually similar to the smell of summer. I didn't notice a huge improvement in my skin, but as I'm hugely addicted to sprays for their hydration, it's always nice to know of sprays that I get along with.

Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant (.14 oz): Before I even used this, I asked my friend/co-worker what she thou…

#ProjectPan November 2017

I have gone through way too many skin care items this month, and actually starting to lack some replacements for once! Of course I made a shopper's envy order 5 minutes before I realized I needed a backup of something I actually could have bought... gotta love karma...
Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub: This was a very citrusy scent. It surprised me. I felt the exfoliators to be more prominent than a micro exfoliator, but less so that others that I've tried. Basically, yes it was gentle. It didn't break me out, which is all I care about. My only complaint is that the exfoliating beads or whatever they were, got stuck in my hair all. the. time.
H20 Oasis Hydrating Treatment: This was the first gel moisturizer I ever used. I became obsessed very quickly. I'm confused as to what my skin type has turned into, but I think it's safe to say it's on the combo side. Either way, I've learned that my skin lovesssss everything and anything that promised hydrating. It d…

#ProjectPan October 2017

Of course as soon as I barely run out of anything last month, this month I'm running out of everything!
Products I've Used Up:

Zoella Beauty Ginger Cream: I got this during my winter vacation in London, where I went on a Superdrug hunt for any Zoella Beauty product I could get my hands on. This lotion is part of the winter collection, and was part of a set. I am not the pickiest with lotions, but I compare all to my holy grail, Bath & Body Works lotions. With this, a little went a long way. It wasn't a thick formula, and yet it was a crazy amount of moisturizing goodness in such a small amount. Super impressed. The scent itself was a bit too sweet at times, but the smell is definitely just like a gingerbread cookie.

Batiste Original Dry Shampoo: LOVE the original! Probably my holy grail dry shampoo, even better than the Not Your Mother's one. Sucks up all the oil. No white residue. All good things, all good things...
Living Proof Restore Perfecting Spray (0.5 oz): I p…
