Watch It Wednesday: American Idol

Dalton Rapattoni

If you've been keeping up with my Wednesday posts, you'll know that I am much more a fan of YouTube than actual TV shows. So, when I watch a show consistently, you know it's good!
American Idol is one of those shows that I only watch from start to finish if I watch it from the beginning. I also have a knack for picking out the best of the best too (Kelly, Carrie, Jordan, Scotty and Lauren Alaina(yes I know she was runner up)). Given that I haven't watched Idol since Scotty and Lauren's year, I only paid a little bit of attention to this season when I first saw that it was the last season, but also one of my favorites, Dalton, had auditioned and made it to Hollywood.
I had known about Dalton for about 2/3 years now because I found out about his band that he was in, IM5. I loved his voice from the start, and of course I wanted him to do well and I just keep checking his twitter to see how he was doing each week.
But then one night, I saw Lauren Alaina tweet that she would be on Idol that night, and I believe it was the top 24, so I ended up giving it a go, and posting my thoughts on twitter. I actually really loved most of the Idols and picked some other favorites besides Dalton.
Then I wanted to try and watch the show the next week to again see who made it to the next round. And again...I finally admitted to myself that I want to really watch it so now I rush home after class on Thursdays to see the results. I usually work on Wednesday nights so if I'm free, I'll try to watch then as well.
Basically, it's the last season. The talent is really good, and mostly really young. I think Dalton is gonna win it. Check my twitter (@LexisGuide) every Thursday Night at 8pm EST to see some funny reaction tweets.

Who do you think will win Idol this season?

Monthly Empties | April 2018

This month I'm trying hard to just let things go, especially if I've had it for a long time. I feel like I went through a lot of skin care, which is typical, but I also feel like I went through my fair share of makeup bits as well! I always feel like I don't use things up, until it's the last week of the month and suddenly I'm running out of everything. Here's the things I've used up over the past month...

Lush Lip Scrub: I am not really a lip scrub person, only because I feel that lip balm is just fine. Plus, I'm super lazy/forgetful with extra steps, so I definitely neglected trying to use this lip scrub. Technically a lot is still there, but it's expired and solid as a rock at this point. I've never used a lip scrub before, but this was nice! It exfoliated and tasted great and that's all I really care about. I probably won't repurchase this as I won't use it enough in time.

#ProjectPan September 2017

This past month, I've said goodbye to my red hair and reintroduced to the blonde life. I've also been surprised by using up various face products...
Joico Color Infuse Red Conditioner: THIS IS THE SOLE REASON MY HAIR HAD SUCH A NICE COPPERY RED HUE. Sorry for the caps locks but this stuff is the best ever if you have dyed your hair any shade of red. Even though towards the end of the month, the orangey bits shone through in the light, my hair had an overall redness to it that had everyone is awe. I swear it makes the red last longer or at least tone it beautifully. If I ever go red again, this will be the first thing I buy.
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Conditioner ( .33 oz): I'm obsessed with this conditioner as well. Total splurge if I ever bought the full size but oh my I feel like my hair was thanking me for treating it with this conditioner. I truly had a perfect hair day after using this. My hair felt oh so soft and I couldn't have been happier!

#ProjectPan October 2017

Of course as soon as I barely run out of anything last month, this month I'm running out of everything!
Products I've Used Up:

Zoella Beauty Ginger Cream: I got this during my winter vacation in London, where I went on a Superdrug hunt for any Zoella Beauty product I could get my hands on. This lotion is part of the winter collection, and was part of a set. I am not the pickiest with lotions, but I compare all to my holy grail, Bath & Body Works lotions. With this, a little went a long way. It wasn't a thick formula, and yet it was a crazy amount of moisturizing goodness in such a small amount. Super impressed. The scent itself was a bit too sweet at times, but the smell is definitely just like a gingerbread cookie.

Batiste Original Dry Shampoo: LOVE the original! Probably my holy grail dry shampoo, even better than the Not Your Mother's one. Sucks up all the oil. No white residue. All good things, all good things...
Living Proof Restore Perfecting Spray (0.5 oz): I p…
