Watch It Wednesday: Niomi Smart

This post has actually happened at a nearly perfect time! Niomi has just announced that wrote a cookbook! But anyway how did I find Niomi and why do I love her? Well, when Niomi was still with Marcus, I would love seeing her in his daily vlogs. I am still very sad about their breakup, but I loved how their personalities meshed and Niomi was such a pleasure to watch and always one of my favorite parts of the vlogs. When she announced that she was making a blog I was so excited as her style inspires me so much as it's quite similar to my own. Then she announced she was making a YouTube channel and that's when I lost my shit (in a good way). I was in love with her videos from a start. She is just an overall inspiration with her makeup, fashion, and food and fitness plan/tips. Niomi is actually the one who has inspired me the most to want to start the road to being a vegan (bold words I know, but I don't like meat and I'm not the biggest fan of dairy (except ice cream and m…

Try It Tuesday: Maybelline Bouncy Blush

So there isn't much backstory here, my sisters like to give me all the things they don't use as they know I'll give anything a go and find a use for it and here's one of those products... The packaging is cute and simple and I know you can't tell from the picture, but the product itself it rounded off, probably to create that ball effect. This color specifically intrigued me and scared me at the same time. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the color is since my sisters have ripped it off the back, but I think I spotted the remnants of a 2... on the back..maybe 20 or 25? in that area....? So this color is just such a color that my sisters would pick out since they pick blushers on the peach side to give that more natural look. I expected the color to be true to the pot and had quite a light hand when applying (which btw the blush actually is bouncy and I was having a ball just with the application) but maybe it was my brush, but I had to go in about 3 or 4 times befo…

The Review: Versace Crystal Noir Perfume

How does one even go about a review for perfume? I'm not too sure, but I'll give it a go...
So the story behind this is that during November in Ulta, Versace had a gift with purchase and I ended up buying perfume for a friend and didn't tell them that there was a gift because I was intrigued and took it for myself to try. The gift was 3 samples of perfume. First thing I gravitated toward was the Crystal Noir scent.
The packaging is simple enough but I like the different colors to easily separate the scents. I like more musky scents so I could tell by the brown tint that it was musky.
As for the actual scent, it is musky. When I would wear it, I would get questioned what I was wearing, but not in a good way. My mom and sister said how it smelt borderline like I was wearing cologne. They liked the scent, but not for me to wear. But since I wear it on my wrist, it wore off after a few hours so I wasn't too fussed about it.
So it's a meh from me...

Watch It Wednesday: Jim Chapman

I think by now, you all know that you can trace every single person I watch on YouTube through Zoella. I started watching Jim purely because he's Tanya Burr's then boyfriend (now husband).  Jim started out doing a lot of fashion and advice videos, which he claims was his sisters and Tanya's influence. Then I believe once he established his friend group and started to do collabs, did he start to do the funny content that he mainly does now. He is also an amazing artist and has started to do drawing videos. Jim basically does it all. Oh and he attempts baking on his channel as well! Jim has a lot of great things going for him right now. On top of his main channel (Jim Chapman), he has a daily vlog channel (EveryDayJim), he's currently preparing to run a marathon, he has been given presenter duties at big premiers, has his own column in GQ, and has his own stationary line!  He sure is a Jack of all trades and you'd be foolish to not check him out.

Try It Tuesday: Dermalogica Pre Cleanse

First off, apologies for this being super late and for not having a post yesterday, my computer currently hates me and I've been struggling to get onto my computer let alone the internet... Basically, at work for Christmas, we all got freebies (aka gratis) and one of the gifts was the Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse. I didn't really read too much into it, but I assumed it was part of the whole cleaning situation so I wanted to have a solid routine/was changing my routine to actually try it.  First off, the packaging is very simple and looks like every other Dermalogica packaging. When I took off the cap, it confused me as I didn't expect there to be some kind of plastic stopper thingy at the top. I really don't know what I expected... But I read the directions carefully and applied this at night, before I went to take a shower, and first applied about a quarter sized amount of the oil (yea didn't think it was an oil, silly me) all over my face, even my eyelids. Then, like the…

Foodie Friday: Nudy's Cafe

Normally I don't go out for breakfast this much, but my sister was jealous that we went out for breakfast without her that one day, and she wanted to go out to breakfast that next weekend. We decided to go to Nudy's Cafe in West Chester as my sister has been there before and had enjoyed it there.  Like I've said, I'm a Belgium waffles kinda gal whenever I go out to eat. I had coffee with my waffle, which came with whipped cream and butter and an orange slice and beautifully presented. It's not pictured, but I also added syrup to my breakfast. The waffle itself was amazing and super filling, the coffee was great and I actually liked the square mug, and I can see myself going there again!

The Review: Clean and Clear Night Relaxing Deep Cleaning Face Wash (Oil Free)

I would say that ever since the summer, I've finally stuck to keeping up with my skin care and try to take better care of my skin. That being said, I am still up to try almost anything that would suit my skin. I always thought that I had very oily skin. But now that I've cleared up the majority of my acne, I'm finding that my skin is actually more combination and I don't drink enough water so if I drank more water I probably would even have less oil. But as of today, I have dry cheeks and an oily T-Zone.  I've tried Clean & Clear products before and they always work well with my skin. I gave this night wash a go as I noticed my sisters were using it and bought it for myself. Right away, I noticed that it calmed me down at night. I'm talking as soon as I would wash my face at night, I was ready to pass out and sleep. So it's always been good for helping me fall asleep.  I would always wake up with smooth skin but I reasoned it was from other products I'…

Watch It Wednesday: Pointless Blog

Throwing it back to one of the first people I started to watch on YouTube. I started to watch Alfie purely because he had collaborated on a few videos with Zoe and I saw how they hung out a few times and I thought, okay so if he is hanging out with Zoe, I must watch his videos too.  Alfie used to make a lot of chatty/rant videos that were funny. He is definitely a comedy channel in my eyes. But now it's gone toward a challenge channel which is still fine by me.  Like it does with every YouTuber I marathon, I fall in love with them when I watch their vlogs. Alfie used to be so bad at uploading vlogs, everyone made a joke out of it. Then, about over a year ago, Alfie started to daily vlog and really step up his uploading game. He now posts a daily vlog each day, 1 main channel blog each weekend and then he posts gaming videos as well.  Alfie has also made a name for himself so much so that he and his girlfriend Zoe, both have wax figures in Madame Tussaund's. He also has 3 books no…

Try It Tuesday: Blistex Five Star Lip Protection

Me oh my did I ever think I would be as upset to start a new lip balm. Although I seem to like all the lip balms I try, I get such an attachment to them that I don't want to throw them out (let's be real, this happens with everything I use...). But I was also eager to try a new lip product, and even more eager to use this Blistex lip balm as I always talk up Blistex.  I've only had medicated Blistex balms before so I didn't know what to expect other than sleek and simple packaging and a promise of smooth lips. First of all, the smell is definitely something to get used to. But when I first used this lip balm, I was shocked.  My lips were dry all day. Well, at least they ate up the balm so quickly I was questioning if it was even working. I was going to have it in my head that this just wouldn't work for me, but I tried to tell myself that it just was drying so quickly because I would eat or drink right after I would reapply. Sure enough, I gave it a few more days of …

Music Monday: Know-It-All (Deluxe)

So I've been in an Alessia Cara, Ariana Grande and Daya kick lately and decided to give my first reaction to Alessia Cara's album! I know it's been out for a while but oh well...
Seventeen: Remember when I said that Ulta plays songs that I think are from an artist I know but I'm not completely sure? This is one of those songs. It's a great tune that instantly wakes me up. It's not a super upbeat song, but it's enough with the oh's to put me in a great mood.
Here: I've loved this song since it first came out. It's my anthem. I relate to this song so much. Besides the lyrics being on point, I'm just blown away by Alessia's ability to sing that much in a single breath! I struggle to keep up when I sing along!
Outlaws: I think this is actually another song I've heard at work. I like it! It almost has that do wop feel to it!
I'm Yours: Have I heard all these songs at work? It's possible..either that or all her songs sound the same (w…

Foodie Friday: Apple Walnut Cafe

Breakfast is definitely my favorite meal of the day. I much prefer going out to breakfast than lunch or dinner. But, I rarely go out to eat breakfast, so when I do, I stick to what I know I love, which is Belgium waffles.  So, when my family decided to try out a new breakfast place, the Apple Walnut Cafe, I had in mind that I was probably going to get waffles. But, when I looked at the menu, I saw that they served crepes and that's what caught my eye. They were spinach and ham filled crepes serves with a mushroom sauce and fruit. I love ham and spinach omelets so I thought I would like the crepes as well but the sauce scared me so I debated ordering the crepes. Eventually I opted to have the sauce on the side.  When it came down to the taste test, they tasted so good! I tried the sauce with it and I personally wasn't a fan, but I'm glad I tried something new in case I wasn't up for a waffle.  My mom ordered pancakes, which she liked, and my dad went for an omelet that he …
