Foundation is usually the one thing people are picky over, but for me, I'm not that fussed. My collection is usually an eclectic mix of drugstore foundations that are rejected from my sisters. This month is a mix of the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse foundation with the L'Oreal True Match foundation. I mix, because the color of either is too dark or too light for my skin tone.
The Bad: The mix of the foundations gives a super dewey look to my skin, and I also apply it with a beauty blender, but I'm not crazy about a super dewey look so that's what it's a negative. Also, the true match truly matches to your skin, but with the darker Maybelline color, it makes my face a shade darker than my body. Also, the L'Oreal foundation is a pour foundation and sometimes I can pour too much.
The Good: They both blend beautifully and give a medium coverage, which is typically what kind of coverage I like, and since it's dewey, it doesn't bring out my dry patches. Also the Maybelline foundation has a pump, so that's a major plus.
Overall, mixing the color is a bit of a struggle, but it's not so severe that I care too much. I'm also using a broken powder that gives a glow anyway, but if I used a matte powder, it would be a great foundation mix.
