#ProjectPan February 2017

I think I found a new blogging inspiration, which is perfect for me. I love collecting makeup because "it's limited edition" or "it was on sale" or any other excuse in the book to try new makeup. But in all honesty, I just like to try things and keep note of the things I prefer. Since I work in a makeup store, the products are way too tempting not to get.

Besides my makeup addiction, I have a weird obsession to make sure everything I use (makeup, clothes, paper, you name it), it totally used up. I also have rotations of my makeup so besides everything being used up, it's also equally used. These are all little tiny details that actually are perfect for this different side of the beauty world that I've become obsessed with.

Decluttering videos, especially lipstick ones, fascinate me. They inspire me to use up my collection to get down to a reasonable amount. Some of these videos came with updates of this thing called #ProjectPan, which has nothing to do with Peter Pan, but with hitting the pan of your makeup products, to again promote a decluttering of sorts. I basically already did this for years, without knowing that other people actually do this as well.

Here's my plan for my take on #ProjectPan. On the first of each month (besides this one), I'll make a list of products in my rotation that are close to being used up, so I will make a point to try to finish them. By the nature of the products, skincare things and lip products will be the majority on the list, but I have been noticing that some of my face makeup is more than half way used up. Also, since I've managed to collect a tonne of mascara, regardless if it's used up or not (my collection ranges from samples to deluxe sample to travel to full sized), I will be getting rid of a mascara each month, at least until I have 4 left (since mascara lasts 3 months and it's a reasonable amount, right?). Also, with each post, I'll say which things I've used up and give a mini review of them.

After a lengthy explanation, here's the things I want to use up in February:
Neutrogena Deep Clean Shine Control Daily Scrub
Benefit Porefessional Primer Travel Size (I think regardless if it's 100% used up, it's gonna haveta go)
Benefit Fake Up Concealer Sample
Maybelline BB Cream (this is a reach)
Maybelline Fit Me Powder (I've hit pan on this, but I want to use it up)
It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream Sample
Ulta Nectarine Rose Body Lotion
Urban Decay Primer Potion Sample (the anti-aging one)
Ulta Volumizing Mascara Sample
MAC Eyeliner in Lord It Up (it's so tiny, it's gonna have to go anyway)
Bare Minerals Sample Sized Lipgloss in Trail Blazer
Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bittersweet
Elf Hypershine Lipgloss in a peachy shade (it was in a set and has no name...)
Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment (maybe a reach)

#ProjectPan May 2017

Me oh my am I determined to get my lip products under control. It's basically me decluttering at this point rather than actually using, but these lip products I've had for a while, so I don't feel as bad. Also, to sum up the lip products, unless they stand out to me as not wearing well (fading unevenly, clumping oddly, etc), or the color doesn't suit me, I generally love/make the color work.
I've also used up quite a few skin care products that I wasn't expecting to finish.
Things I've Used Up:
Joico Color Infuse Red Shampoo: I bloody love this stuff. I claim this is the thing that makes my hair stay red as long as it does. Not only does it have color-lasting powers, but it cleans your hair and actually makes it feel clean. Huge plus in my book. I'm still undecided how long I want to keep my red hair, but if I ever decide to keep it, or go back to red, this is the first thing I'm gonna pick up.
Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream: This was a sample that I foun…

#ProjectPan June 2017

This month has been fairly tame with finishing things. I'm finding that I'm finally reaching the end of some of my powders and foundations. I'm also doing great with decluttering the lip collection. There's also a bit of face things in there, so hopefully a little something for everyone.
Products I've Used Up: Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse (30 mL): This is truly life changing. Well, not really, but it took off my makeup exceptionally well and I would happily repurchase this again.  Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream (1.5 mL): I liked how it made my skin feel, but if you over do it, it can still feel tacky in the morning, which wasn't fun. I'm gonna stick with my samples of serums and creams for now.  Maybelline Dream Pure BB: I'm not too fussed with foundations, so I got on with this fairly well. It's a light coverage, but with the right brush, it could be a medium coverage. It lasts a good while. My only complaint is that towards the end, it separated a bi…

#ProjectPan April 2017

At this point I've nearly given up on predicting what I will end up finishing in a month, but I'll still try. As always, it's going to be filled with skin care and lip products, but they are the most important!
What I used up in March: L'Oreal Pure Clay Mask (The Red One): Amazing. Gentle enough to use after using an exfoliating cleanser. Makes my skin super soft. Only downside is that it's a bit messy.  Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow Primer (Sample): The sample definitely had more than one use it in, but very glowy. Looks like you highlighted your entire face. Better for the dry-skinned people.  Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in Beige (Sample): When you build it up enough, and with the right brush, this can be a pretty full coverage foundation. Also a very dewy look.  Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment: This stuff was my holy grail for the longest time. The medicated part actually helps heal your lips and is perfect after a long day of using matte lipsticks. Also perfe…
